Phineas and Ferb Lunch

It's our Blogiversary!!!  2 years and going strong!  It's thanks to this fun hobby that my friends associate me with neat looking lunches.  Several of them even post cool lunches on my Facebook wall.  I had a few friends post an awesome Ferb (of Phineas and Ferb) lunch on my wall yesterday.  I figured why not try to replicate this amazing lunch by Susan Yuen that so many people love.  Be sure to check out her site, she's incredible!  "Hey Ferb, I know what we're gonna do today!"
Our main entree is a salami and cheese sandwich made to look like Phineas and Ferb.  (Wonder if they will try to eat the parsley?) Did I mention how hard it is to try and make the same lunch twice.  I favor the one on the left.  Poor Ferb got a little heavy in the one on the right.  That's what I get for eye-balling it.

Our vegetable side is a cucumber and carrot Perry the Platypus.  We cut the cucumber in half and then carved out two eyes.  The tail, bill and feet were carved from carrot pieces.

Our fruit side is an apple with a P and  F carved out of it.  Not really all that fun but we've got to get those fruits in somehow and I was out of ideas.

Our Fun Friday Treat is going to be the girls' choice when they get their bags together.  We have a snack drawer that is full of healthy treats or we have a small candy drawer that they can choose from.  I'm thinking it will be candy but they might surprise me.

*I found the Agent P fabric that is behind the lunches at JoAnn Fabric and Craft Stores and made some napkins out of it.  We're pretty big Phineas and Ferb fans here so I'm sure that they will get a lot of use.
Tomorrow is green and purple day in Bean's Kindergarten class so her snack is kiwi fruit and red/purple grapes.

  2. I've always wanted to create a Phineas and Ferb lunch, but my skills are quite limited when it comes to character bentos. But perhaps I'll try to do it and link back to you if I happen to post it. Happy Bloggiversary!
